NSF-NSSE Undergraduate RA (2021)
Khalid came to the IRVLab during his senior year at Carleton College, located in Northfield, MN, majoring in Computer Science major and Arabic minor. His research involved utilizing stereoscopic imagery to develop an underwater robotic visual perception system, for the purpose of detecting the direction of a diver's pointing gesture. His general interests include deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and the Arabic language.
