Maryam Kameli
Maryam will start her Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in Fall 2023. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology in 2021. Her thesis focused on predicting seizures by using deep learning methods. Prior to her Ph.D., she completed a master's degree in CS at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2023, where she worked on developing a new navigation system for Pepper robots. She wrote her master’s thesis on exploring gender differences in brain activity while performing different tasks.
Amitabha Deb
I am a MS in Robotics student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am interested in robot perception and deep learning. I enjoy programming and working with physical sensors and robots. In my free time i like to explore new places and cook.
Zhipeng Cao
Zhipeng is a Junior undergraduate student majoring in computer science and working on AUV automatic docking systems. He is interested in image processing, surgery robots, NLP in education, and artificial intelligence. In his free time, he loves photography.
Nathan Anye
Rishi Mukherjee
Rishi is starting an MS in Computer Science in Fall 2023, and he is interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. He is primarily focused on Sensory related AI, i.e., Computer Vision and its applications, as well as semantic analysis using AI. Rishi is a former undergraduate RA at the IRVLab.
Rishikesh Joshi
Rishi is an undergraduate student in his sophomore year (2022-23) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He is currently studying math and computer science, and is interested in robotics and machine learning. In his free time, Rishi plays chess and participates in competitive programming contests.
Sakshi Singh
Sakshi started her Ph.D. in the Fall of 2022. She graduated with a master's in ECE from The Ohio State University in May 2020. Before starting as a Ph.D. student, she worked on vision-aided drone landing and in-flight obstacle avoidance. Her area of interest lies in robotics and computer vision. She also enjoys reading and swimming in her free time.
Ashwin Wariar
Ashwin is an undergraduate student in their senior year (2022-23) at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. They are currently studying computer science, and are interested in robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Connor Pargman
Connor is a 1st-year Computer Science master's student. He is interested in how robots can be used in unsafe environments using computer vision in place of humans. He is currently working on aquatic plant detection using autonomous underwater vehicles.
